EPHRATA

Ephrata Municipal Airport (EPH) is just east of the town of Ephrata, WA. Located near the center of WA state, it features world-class soaring conditions. Central Washington skies are protected from both the west and east by the Cascade & Rocky Mtns – leading to strong, reliable thermals throughout the warmer months of the year. 300km – 500km flights are common, with high average speeds.

The towns of Ephrata and Soap Lake are nearby, and provide quaint, relaxed lodging & dining options. Moses Lake is an easy drive from the airport, and provides more comprehensive lodging, food, and entertainment choices.

For the adventurous visitor, nearby attractions include Dry Falls, Grand Coulee Dam, the Quincy Lakes, and more. Central Washington has a unique geologic & cultural history, which can be explored at many of these locations.

The training center at the airport has multiple bathrooms & showers, a full kitchen, a large living-room, bunk-beds (for staff-only during events), and a spacious deck. It also offers free WiFi, telephone, and radio service. A battery shed is available for charging equipment between flights.
